CPP is cast (not stretched) polypropylene, giving it better heat-seal properties and flexibility. BOPP is biaxially stretched, giving it better clarity and stiffness. CPP is used as sealant layer; BOPP as outer layer.
RCPP (Retort CPP) is a specially formulated CPP that can withstand retort sterilization temperatures up to 135°C. It is used as the sealant layer in retort pouches.
